Upstream Bookkeeping

Upstream Bookkeeping is a Hawaii and California-based bookkeeping and accounting firm serving about 60 small businesses and nonprofits, from restaurants and retail to construction, hospitality, and charter schools. We run the full monthly cycle: bookkeeping and reconciliations in QuickBooks Onlin accounts payable and bill pay, payroll oversight, Hawaii GET filing, and board-ready financial reporting, with CFO advisory for clients who need budgeting and cash flow planning.

We use Ramp as the spend platform for our clients' cards and bill pay. Our team handles the setup end-to-end: card issuance and controls, receipt and memo policies, vendor onboarding, bill pay approval flows, and the QuickBooks sync, then runs the weekly AP and month-end close on top of it. Clients get one place for spend, cleaner books, and fewer questions at month-end.
